Currencies trade against each other. The exchange rate tells you how many units of one currency equal one unit of another, and rates change every minute the markets are open.
Try this
200
EUR = USD × 0.92 (example rate — rates change constantly) = —
Reading a rate
'1 USD = 0.92 EUR' means each dollar buys 0.92 euros. To convert dollars → euros, multiply by 0.92. To go euros → dollars, divide by 0.92 (≈ multiply by 1.087).
Exchange counters and cards add a margin or fee, so you'll get a slightly worse rate than the one in the news. Always check the all-in rate.
