Counting
One, two, three. Counting is just saying numbers in order — and matching one name to one thing.
Count the blocks
Tap + to add one. Each block is one count.
3
Each colour is a different number. Counting is just saying their names in order: one, two, three…
What counting really is
Counting is a one-to-one match. Each block gets exactly one name — one, two, three… — and the last name you say is the total.
Three things to notice
- Each thing gets one name (don't skip, don't double-count).
- The order of names is fixed: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…
- The last name you say is the total — that's the whole point.
